Join Erin in the Neighborhood!
My campaign to be DC Council Chairwoman is in full swing, and I’m excited to be out in our local communities. I love meeting and talking with people all over DC about the issues that matter and why now is the time to bring new energy and vision to the DC Council.
Thanks to your support, I am the first — and only — candidate in the race for DC Council Chair to use and qualify for DC’s Fair Elections program. That means I can be out in our communities, engaged with neighbors and accountable to you.
Join me at an upcoming event! I am dedicated to being in all eight Wards to hear from neighbors who want to talk about and share their views on the issues that matter. Here are events taking place over the next week:
- Erin on Your Block in Anacostia: Join me and Advisory Neighborhood Commissioners in Ward 8 for a walk and discussion about traffic and community safety, government services, and supporting the community. Saturday, December 4th at 11:00 a.m. at The Big Chair, 11th and V Streets, SE.
- Meet and Greet on Transportation and Traffic Safety: Join me to discuss how to reduce car dependence, increase road safety, and ensure aggressive oversight of our local transportation agency. I am deeply thankful to our amazing Host Committee, who are fierce advocates for safe streets. Saturday, December 4th from 4:00–6:00 p.m. at metrobar DC (640 Rhode Island Avenue, NE).
- Erin at Your Door in Petworth: Join me to canvass and share information about my campaign for DC Council Chairwoman and talk to neighbors in Petworth. Sunday, December 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Petworth Metro Station (3700 Georgia Avenue, NW).
If you’d like to host an Erin on Your Block, Erin at Your Door, Meet and Greet, or another event, please send me an email at erin@erinfordc.com. You can stay up to date on all of our events by visiting my website.
Share information with your neighbors! I am so thankful to the wonderful work of Dan Essrow, our website and campaign literature designer, for our newly minted palm cards. If you’d like palm cards to distribute to your friends and neighbors — or for events — please send me an email at erin@erinfordc.com to pick up or have palm cards delivered (Yard signs coming soon!).
As always, I am deeply thankful for your support and I hope to connect soon. I can’t wait to continue the work of engaging our friends and neighbors and fighting for a brighter, more resilient future for all DC. Join me on this journey, bring your friends and family along, and let’s create positive change.
With gratitude,
Erin Palmer, Democrat for DC Council Chairwoman
