This working mom can’t say thank you enough to each of you who’ve invested your dollars in this campaign that’s working for DC families.
Together, we’ve made this the first campaign for DC Council Chair to ever meet the requirements for the Fair Elections program. To date, our campaign has received donations from +380 supporters, totaling more than $30,000.
The Fair Elections program has made it possible for me — a mom with no ties to corporate donors or lobbyists — to run. I am deeply thankful for the outpouring of support so early on in my campaign, and I can’t wait to continue engaging with communities across the District.
This is just the beginning of our work to build a brighter, more resilient future for DC, and I will work harder than anyone to make that a reality.
I’ve dedicated my professional career to government accountability, and I will bring this experience to the Council. As Chairwoman, I will focus on greater accountability, stronger ethics, and increased oversight — starting with how I fund my campaign. DC residents and families will always be my top priority, and I’m committed to hearing from, serving, and being accountable to you, now and once I’m elected to the Council.
I’m already out talking with neighbors in communities across DC. Over the campaign, I’ll be teaming up with local leaders for Erin on Your Block events to walk neighborhoods and learn first-hand the challenges neighbors are facing. Whether it’s public transportation, housing, safe passage to school, food access, or something else, I’m committed to engaging on the ground about what’s going on at the neighborhood level.
